Storm!
Now there's a husky smile!
Storm is a fourteen year old husky that I have had the pleasure of knowing for several years. He loves to talk, and I love to brush him! So much hair... Storm also enjoys checking on the fish in his mom's koi pond, and watching the kids walk by after school. He is a neighborhood favorite and I am lucky to be a part of his entourage!
His mom is one of my references.
Storm always looks dignified. I think it's the "eyeliner"...

Marrakesh
Miss Marra is one of my favorite rescue stories. She was living with her mother, sister, and several other kittens in a carport behind a house. The family had a sign for free kittens, and I stopped by "just to look". My dear friend had just lost her beloved cat, and although she wasn't ready for another pet just yet, she knew she wanted a kitten someday. Well, I couldn't let Marra stay where she was, so close to a busy road. So I scooped her up and took her home. As soon as my friend saw her, she was in love, and I dropped her off after a vet visit.
Marra is definitely a one person cat, and now she has her person! She helps her "mom" de-stress after work and makes sure she's in bed at a decent hour.
I am also happy that I've gotten to share space with the lovely Marra - her "mom" has been my room mate for a few months! Marra does not love the fosters though... too much riffraff in >her< home. It's nice of her to let us live there! Her mom is also one of my references.

Witchita
"Witchy" was a rather forceful cuddler. She is the queen of headbutts! This little girl was a foster favorite, and I'm happy to say she was adopted within 4 hours of being returned to the shelter!
Witchita and Tallahasee
"Witchy" and "Tally" enjoyed my bed thoroughly.
This is what I woke up to on more than one occasion.
Berlin!
Too cute. Nothing like a big, healthy belly to make a foster mom smile. She loved to cuddle with my stuffed Doberman toy.
Berlin and Constantinople
Foster kittens #2 and #3 from that first gaggle of babies. They were fast friends. It took Constantinople a good while to warm up to me, but I think Berlin's friendship helped.
Istanbul!
I can't get enough of this kitten!
Istanbul and Constantinople
These are brothers. Littermates. Look at the difference a few weeks of sickness makes!
Istanbul tried to die on me more than once... He required round-the-clock care including syringe feeding, regular medication, and daily bathing.
I'm thrilled that Istanbul bounced back! He was soon wrestling and bunny-kicking like a champ. Although I'm happy they have new, forever homes, I do miss them. I love my boys!

Malaysia
Okay, so she's not mine, nor have I pet-sat her, I just want to show of my sister's beautiful girl!
I love my "niece"!

Bruin and Sadie
That nutcase is Bruin - a 3 year old PitBull that was just supposed to spend a week at my family's home while he got over a cold. Then I was supposed to find him a home... That was a little over a year ago. My Dad loves him to pieces, he just won't admit it.
The exasperated looking Golden is Sadie. She's about 10 years old, and she did not ask for a little brother... but she loves him too. Really. She told me.

Bruin and Sadie again.
Sadie puts up with a lot of love...
Sasha Fierce!
I don't really understand the name... My sister got this little darling as a college pet, but when she couldn't take her to her new dorm room, I got to keep her! Sasha came with me to Philadelphia and loved to surprise my room mate with her unscheduled visits. Stairs were no problem for this chica! Sadly, Sasha passed last January, but I know she's enjoying all the Yogies she can eat in Hamster Heaven. Thanks for the laughs, little girl!
Arlo
Is that a happy pig or what? I loved spoiling the pigs at Hog Heaven. Arlo loves apple treats. I think Arlo is a great name for a pig. My other favorite pigs were Floyd and Oscar. I miss their little grunts!
Monkey and her litter
This little lady showed up pregnant and hungry at our farm a few years ago. We brought her inside, got her used to human touch again, and cared for her and her litter of three. It's amazing what a mother's body will do for her children. Monkey was frighteningly thin after she delivered these fat and healthy babies. We spoiled her back to health and she is still a happy member of the family! All of the little ones were adopted by friends and we still get updates on "Meeko" and "Reagan"!
